Yea, life changes in seconds – the seconds which you use to decide upon things – things that matter the most – which mold your life – the way it is today!
All that we are today is because of the decisions that we have taken in our lives. Every decision matters – in a small or big way. A few of them had short term implications while others had long term consequences that you need to carry for the rest of your life.
Those decisions that are of most significance are often taken in a few seconds. We find out, only at a later stage whether those decisions have left us happy or filled us with sorrow – at a stage, when we cannot mend them or revert them anyways.
What to do at that point in time?
The easy way out is to blame others or circumstances (or destiny, like losers) and try to be satisfied for a short time. Put everything on things that ‘made you’ take those decisions and relax – it’s not entirely your fault, you see!
The other way, seldom taken, is to stand up and say, “Yes, I did it. And I am responsible for all that is happening to me today. These are all because of the decisions I took throughout my life.”
WOW! Doesn’t the second option seem great? It does! While it is very easy for people who are happy and successful today to tread on this route, it is extremely tough for those who are not! For them, it is hard-hitting and quite punitive to accept this truth and move on. These are the ones who often try to attribute the responsibility to their friends, relatives, office, school, college or anything that comes to their minds. We, the society, call them losers!
What else can be done? The life is doomed! You are sad and this sadness will never leave you; you are never going to be happy again, for the decisions that you have taken in life have left you lonely, secluded, shattered and fruitless.
What else can be done?
Dope? Is throwing yourself into the hands of alcohol, smoke and drugs an option for you? You will die a slower death, little by little, every day. The trance will keep your mind away from the blues, but temporarily. And once you are out of it, you will get straight into melancholy again!
What else can be done?
Suicide? Well, I have been taught that the most foolish thing that you can do with your life, is to end it yourself (That also does not mean you can hire someone to do that for you!). You have to be psychologically unfit to actually think about it. NO! This cannot be an option.
What else can be done, then?
There is still something that can be done and I think one should go for it. Wait and watch!
They say, time cures the most magnificent blemish! Let time cure yours too.
May be you need to wait for that to happen, with a hope that one day things will change and the new morn that comes will bring your share of happiness. May be one day you would smile again. May be one day you will have no more sorrows and you will be successful in life.
Like SRK said, if there is no happy ending, probably it has not ended yet. So, the end has to be always happy. This we should know for sure. Knowing this, we need to wait for that to happen.
You have been bitten, betrayed, burnt, bruised and buried time and again – and you are still alive, which shows you have fought your way. Why not do the same again when you are exposed to failure and distress in life and continue doing it?
Be brave. Stand up and face life, as it comes. He who stands up from a fall knows what not to do so that he does not fall (that way) and more importantly, he also would know how to stand up. So, stop cursing those seconds when you made those life-changing-decisions, those people around you, the circumstances and the destiny and stand up and face it!
If you are sad today and you are still alive, the day will come when you will smile again – because, “…Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost!”
